What is a time trial?
The Pequot Cyclists Time Trial is a race over 10 kilometers of rolling terrain.  Individual riders are started at 30 second and timed to complete the course.  There is no drafting and no peleton.  Rider times are used to calculate standings for each age and gender category.  Riders of all ability level on road, mountain, recumbent, or tandems bikes are welcome.  Trophies are awarded to the victors at the end of the season.

When?
Join us for time trial racing every Thursday from June 7 to August 30.  Race registration and sign-up for new club members begins at 5:30 PM on the first night of racing and 5:45 PM every race night after that.  Racing starts at 6:00 PM.  Registered riders will receive a race number.  Riders with race numbers may proceed directly to the starting line at race time.  The race is free for Pequot Cyclist members.

How do I get there?
By car take Interstate 95 exit 91 to Pequot Trail (CT234) west for one mile to a right on Wheeler Road.  The race starts 1/4 mile north on Wheeler Road.  Parking is available at the I95 Exit 91 carpool lot.  By bike from the carpool lot take Taugwonk Road north out of the carpool lot for 1/2 mile and take a left onto Sommers Lane, in 1/4 mile take another left onto Wheeler road and proceed 1/2 mile to the starting line.
